Jardin mashes up a tasty turkey sausage hash.
Smoked Turkey Sausage Hash Au Gratin
1 smoked turkey sausage
6 Yukon Gold potatoes
1/2-cup olive oil
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 pinch of Cayenne pepper to taste
*Option-for extra flavor use Black Market Gourmet Krazy Kreole Spice rub
2 cups grated cheese (Parmesan, Swiss, Mozzarella)
*Option-1 –2 tablespoons dry herbs, Rosemary, chives, Thyme
1 cup chopped scallions or (½ sliced onion)
Cut the potatoes up in to cubes about 1 inch thick. Start to sauté in olive oil until somewhat tender. Add sliced sausage, onion, salt or any other spices at this time. Continue to cook until everything is browned and tender. Spoon everything in to a cast iron skillet or ovenproof pan. Top with cheeses and bake for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and starting to brown. Sprinkle with your favorite herbs and serve. Enjoy!
