Sometimes the best things are so simple to create. Here is a simple dessert that has loads of vitamin C and it is a kid friendly healthier low-fat treat. It features agave syrup in lieu of refined sugar so may be appropriate for some diabetic diets.
4-cups strawberries (stems removed)
5 ripe kiwi fruit (peeled)
1 cup plain yogurt or soy yogurt
1 cup white grape juice
1 cup agave syrup
All you need is a food processor. Blend strawberries, kiwi and yogurt together. Add or drizzle in grape juice and agave syrup to reach desired consistency and sweetness.
Remove from food processor and freeze for several hours until firm or frozen solid (your preference). Serve with fresh slices of strawberries and kiwi for a super dessert or with your favorite cake or cookie.
