Laura Rillos

Laura Rillos

Laura Rillos is a general assignment reporter. She's proud to be a member of the KVAL News team.

Before coming to the Northwest, Laura was a weekend anchor and reporter at KSWT in her hometown, Yuma, Arizona. Memorable stories included touring border smuggling routes, President Bush's two visits to the US-Mexico border and sky diving with the US Army's Golden Knights. Laura also filled in as a weathercaster and on the sports desk--which only reaffirmed her love for news.

Laura earned her journalism degree cum laude at the University of Arizona. While in Tucson, she interned at KVOA and anchored the journalism department's student newsmagazine.

When she's not working, you can find Laura reading, watching TV and running. She ran her first marathon in June 2007 and ran the Eugene Half-Marathon in 2008. Laura also loves spending time with her family, friends, fiance and their two cats, Crash and Nuke.
