Nick Krupke

Nick Krupke

Nick was born in Spokane and grew up in Mt. Vernon, Washington. He graduated from Washington State University and the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication in May 2004 with a B.A. in Broadcast Communication.

Upon graduation, Nick was awarded with the Murrow School's Male Talent of the Year for his work on Inside the Lines, a weekly live sports show covering Wazzu & Pullman High athletics. He also spent all four years as a DJ/Music Director/GM for KUGR 95 Rock, one of the campus radio stations. After realization that radio wasn't the way to go, Nick focused on the tube.

First briefly working for KLEW-TV in Lewiston, Idaho delivering live updates during the NAIA World Series. Then it was onto KTVQ-TV in Billings, MT as Weekend Sports Anchor. While in Billings, Nick was awarded as a finalist for an E.B. Craney Award, as Montana Sportscaster of the Year. In addition, the sports team won a Joe Durso award for Best Sports Team Coverage.

By September of '05 it was time to saddle up and head West before the deep
freeze of Montana's winter returned. Oregon it was.
