Location: Sturdivant Park, Coquille.

Event Description

Again this year, the tour will start and end at Sturdivant Park, located off Highway 42 West in Coquille. The route will follow backcountry roads through Myrtle Point to Frona Park, where riders will rest and enjoy a nutrition break. The return trip will be by reverse route to Sturdivant Park to bestow recognition and enjoy a BBQ meal.
The complete route is 61 miles, and relay teams are encouraged to participate, as are the hearty individuals who enjoy a challenge. Sign in starts at 9:00am, and the tour starts at 10:00am, with the finish time estimated at 4:00pm.
This year’s goal is to raise $25,000 for the Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Fellowship Program at Doernbecher to train young pediatricians as the children’s cancer specialists of tomorrow. These young physicians are learning to develop and apply revolutionary gene-based therapies that will forever change how children in the Pacific Northwest and beyond are treated for cancer.
