homeless veterans or at risk veterans, with access to representatives
from the VA, the Vet Center, employment and training programs, veterans service officers, legislative representatives, community veterans organizations, and dozens of other supportive community partners. Over 40 service organizations and agencies will be on-site to serve veterans.
BBQ lunch and refreshments
including hot coffee and breakfast from the Salvation Army Mobile
Canteen. Homeless and low income veterans will have access to the onsite Dental Van for extractions. Showers, hygiene kits, haircuts and clothing will also be available, with priority given to homeless and at risk veterans. All veterans will be able to seek answers to health care and legal issues, have sight and hearing screening, blood pressure and glucose checks, learn about counseling, support groups and recovery programs.
Breakfast starts at 8 a.m., early registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and
doors open at 9 a.m. to all military veterans, with particular outreach
to homeless veterans. The event concludes at 3 p.m. Veterans needing assistance with transportation to and from the event should call Yellow Cab Taxi (in town) or event organizers for other options.
