Evening GED Preparation and ESL Classes Start the Week of October 14, 2013
The cost for the courses is $50.00 per term. All classes will be held at the Newmark Center, Room 204 on the SWOCC campus.
GED preparation classes prepare adults that lack a high school diploma to successfully pass the GED tests and earn a high school equivalency certificate. Classes offer integrated instruction in the four areas covered on the GED tests.
Adult Basic Education (ABE) is an educational program designed to help adults who are interested in building their reading, writing, math and problem-solving skills.
English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction is an educational opportunity for adult community members, 17 years of age or older, whose primary language is other than English. ESL classes improve a student's English skills in the areas of conversation, listening/speaking, reading and writing for the purpose of community participation, employment or to further educational opportunities.
