Servings: 10 Ingredients: 2 cans Chick Peas AKA Garbanzo Beans 1 cup Tahini AKA ground sesame seeds ¼ cup Lemon juice ½ cup Olive Oil or Grape Seed Oil 2 tbls Freshly chopped Parsley 1 tbls powdered or chopped Garlic Sea Salt or Vegetarian Chicken Base (to taste) ½ cup Yogurt or Sour Cream Spices: Choose any combination Tandoori, Cumin, Turmeric, Curry, Peppercorn, Mélange (ground) Additional equipment: Food Processor Instructions: Puree chickpeas in food processor. May add oil sufficient to help liquefy. Pour chickpea puree into a large bowl and begin adding lemon juice, yogurt, spices and sea salt. Adjust flavors and serve with toasted pita bread or your favorite bread or cracker. Estimated cost: $5.00 |
