Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients: 1-pound ground chicken (beef, pork, lamb or turkey may be substituted) 1 cup chopped green onion 2 tbs. fresh garlic chopped 1 tsp. chili powder ¼ cup chopped celery ¼ cup chopped peanuts or cashews (optional) 1 tbs. oyster cause 2 tbs. oil Shredded cabbage Whole Leaf Lettuce i.e., romaine, iceberg or any other sturdy leafed lettuce Sides: Chili Sauce Fried Rice Noodles Instructions: Sauté chicken (or other meat) in oil with garlic and celery. During the last five minutes of cooking, add chili powder, oyster sauce and green onion. Transfer to serving dish. Build your wrap as follows: Place lettuce leaf on plate; add shredded cabbage and seasoned meat to lettuce leaf. Add peanuts chili sauce and fried noodles if desired. Do not overfill lettuce leaf. The concept here is that the lettuce leaf should wrap around the inside ingredients. Bon Appetite! |
