November is National Adoption Awareness Month and with our work through Lane County Heart Gallery we want to share with you some previously run 'Heart Gallery stories in hopes that a family will see this child or these children and want to bring them home.

     TERRY IS NOW 12 YEARS OLD....AND HE WANTED TO LIVE IT UP.... AT SPRINGFIELD'S NEW CHUCK E. CHEESE RESTAURANT, AT THE GATEWAY MALL.
   AND HE WAS ONE BUSY BOY.

("We're going to check out the games!")
(could we do some shots of Terry speeded up, going around to the different games?)

  TERRY CAME INTO FOSTER CARE ABOUT 2 AND A HALF YEARS AGO. 
   HE'S BEEN IN HIS CURRENT FOSTER HOME FOR JUST OVER A YEAR AND HAS MADE REMARKABLE PROGRESS IN THAT SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.

(He's eager to learn and eager to please.  He's learned to tie his shoes, he's learned how to temper himself and know when it's time to chill out behave and quiet down.")

   JODI SAYS TERRY HELPS WITH CHORES AROUND THE HOUSE AND LOVES SPORTS.
   AS A FAN AND AS A PLAYER.

("We have a basketball court at the bottom of our property ad he likes to go out and play basketball with my son and video games.")
("You win some tickets you get some tickets you win a prize."
"Which prize up there did you see that you really liked?"
"That basketball hoop!")

   TERRY IS A SWEETHEART., BUT HE IS ALL BOY....HE IS THE BIGGEST FAN AT HIS FOSTER BROTHERS FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL GAMES....HE LIKES BEING ACTIVE AND THE ADOPTIVE FAMILY THAT COULD DO FUN THINGS WITH HIM, LIKE TAKE HIM TO THE BEACH OR THE AQUARIUM OR SPORTING EVENTS, WOULD SERVE TERRY BEST.
   TERRY'S FOREVER FAMILY WOULD ALSO NEED TO BE AWARE OF HIS DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUES AND HAVE ACCESS TO SERVICES....AND, BE WILLING TO CELEBRATE ONE OF HIS QUIRKS.

("Somebody who likes to celebrate every holiday listed on the calendar would be really good for Terry, too.(laugh)")

   TERRY'S A HAPPY-GO-LUCKY KIND OF GUY....DOESN'T GET DISCOURAGED...PICKS UP AND MOVES ON....HAS A REALLY GOOD OUTLOOK ON LIFE....WHO WOULDN'T, ESPECIALLY ON A BIRTHDAY!
   HE TOLD ME WHY HE WANTED TO CELEBRATE AT CHUCK E. CHEESE.

("Because it's best....it's great for me to have pizza and play games to win some prizes.")

   THEN HE WAS OFF TO TRY ANOTHER GAME.
