Heart Gallery - Kaleia and Keiauna

MultimediaOn this beautiful end of the summer morning.....14 year old Kaleia and 11 year old Keiauna are trying out their creative sides....with an easle and a paintbrush. Keanna is the little sister. She is going into the 5th grade. She is bubbly and social....she likes school and sports.
Big sister Kaleia is going into the 8th grade. She is more reserved and is more of a music fan, than an art fan.
(Do you do art in school?" "I did art." "Did you?" "Didn't really like it though....teacher was annoying.")
Kaleia says, she's actually more into sports....and wants to be on a basketball team, this season. The girls finished up their artwork....and let it dry.
In their current foster home, they're in the country. They've lived in a city before...but really like their foster home, now, because there are horses.
("Two of 'em we can ride but the rest are pretty much wild.")
Like many sisters, the girls have their squabbles but they get over them....most of the time. And there's no question, they want to grow up together. They may appear to be shy but they do warm up when they start feeling comfortable.
Their case worker, Amy Juarez says, she's looking for a home for the girls where they can be loved, supported and given an opportunity to explore a wide range of experiences.
("I think the girls um, would blossom in any type of home, they just need a home that is kinda willing to be patient and love them and accept them for who they are.")
Juarez says, the girls are open to what they want in a family....one thing they do know, for sure, is they'd like to have pets.
These girls have been through a lot and despite it all, they remain optimistic....the right home for them is out there.
("Kitties and puppies.." "...And horses?" " I don't care we could have horses or not, I want puppies and kitties.")
