Heart Gallery - Aahron and Gabryella
By KVALA brother and sister are cooking up hope that they'll be able to find a new home. Let us introduce you to Aahron and Gabryella. With chefs hats in place, Aahron and Gabryella are ready to whip up some action in the kitchen. The three of us took over the kitchen at Hartwick's at the 5th Street Market in downtown Eugene. We got to work making peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies. Aahron and Gabryella are quite comfortable in the kitchen. Aarhon says, when he and Gabby get together, they do this a lot!
Aahron's is 12 and in the 7th grade and gabie is 4 and in pre-school.
One of the most lasting impressions I will have of these two is seeing how much Aahron loves and cares for his little sister. As for Gabby, she's a bright little girl, and has a twinkle in her eye when she looks at her brother.
The home that is selected for Aahron and Gabryella will be one lucky home.
"The goal is to find the house that's perfect for them and to match not necessarily meeting the children's requests but what's going to be a good blend with that family," said Kelly Smith, their case worker.
As Aahron and Gabryella finished up making their cookies, we put them in the oven and waited. Aaron talked about the home he and Gabby want.
"We're looking for one that matches both of us. But it definitely has to have animals. It's a no-brainer," said Aaron.
We took the cookies out of the oven and gave them the taste test. They were delicious. Mission accomplished.
The parents who adopt these children will be lucky. And you can bet, these two will always be cooking up something.
