Xavier is a 13 year old boy in foster care who loves to be active. You'll find him throwing or catching a football, playing baseball, wrestling or you might find him shooting hoops with his foster brothers and sisters. One of his favorite things, is being outdoors, playing.
"It's open, fresh air, there's a lot of stuff to do out there than sit in the house", he says. Xavier has a ready smile and an easy going disposition. "And, I'm pretty nice, but sometimes I get to hyper. That's one thing.", he says with a big smile that lights up his face and shows his dimples.
Xavier has lived with many different families. Those he likes best are the ones that are active, just like him, and do things.
Jean Taylor, Xavier's case worker says, "He wants his forever family to let him participate in sports, come to his wrestling meets or his ball games. He wants a family that is active, will go for a ride on the bikes, go to the zoo, and travel to new places."
Taylor says, Xavier is good around the house and he's good with all children and animals, but she'd like him to be placed with a family who doesn't have babies or toddlers, who need a lot of attention, because Xavier deserves to have attention put on him and his abilities....of which there are many.
Xavier is very straight forward about his wants and needs. He's been in many foster homes, gained some knowledge about different families and parenting and says, for him, it's his turn.
"Since I've been in foster care, I've been moved a lot. l I just want to stay with one family, a family I can just live with."
Wherever he lands, his case worker knows Xavier will be a wonderful addition to almost any family. Says Taylor, "He's got so many things going for him, he's smart, he's articulate and athletic and energetic and hey, he's going to be fun to raise."

Additionally: Xavier has grandparents with whom he'd like to stay connected to. Currently, he sees them during school vacation times, such as spring break and winter break.
