Yoga facelift
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (Ivanhoe Newswire) -- There's no doubt exercise tones the body. But can it work from the neck up?
They come in search of a chemical-free face-lift and Marie-Veronique Nadeau, the author of "The Yoga Facelift", offers her 59-year-old face as proof it's possible. "My eyes are lifted. My cheeks are lifted. They're not as droopy. There are wrinkles in my forehead that are gone," Nadeau told Ivanhoe. Wiped away, she says, by two years of toning the 130-plus muscles above the neck. She insists there's a right and wrong way to work the face. Mess up and you'll create more wrinkles. "You're not scowling in concentration. You're not squinting. You're not pursing your lips," Nadeau said.
A "V" and blink "up" with your bottom lid. Don't move that upper lip. "I was surprised at how much of the muscle I could feel under my face working," Yoga Facelift student Suzanne Bain, told Ivanhoe. "After a good workout my face would feel sore so I knew I was doing the right thing because that's how I felt when I went to the gym, or went for a run, or a long bike ride," Mary Bunnett, who Practices Facial Yoga, said.
