100th Coos County Fair: Margie and Diamond The Goat
MYRTLE POINT, Ore.-- The 100th Coos County Fair kicked off on Tuesday morning, and on the first day, 5-year-old Margie Harris told KCBY Reporter Ricky Maranon that he just had to meet her pet goat and everyone else watching at home should too.
Harris says owning a goat is a lot like a lot like taking care of a dog.
"This is diamond, and she's a Nigerian Dwarf," Margie said. "And she likes to eat hay."
Harris walks around with Diamond similar to how many people walk their dogs with a leash.
"It's kind of like a dog cause some dogs pulls away from you, and some goats do. So [goats are] kind of like dogs."
Most of the livestock competitions and exhibits are the west side of the Coos County Fairgrounds opposite of the rides and food.
