COOS BAY, Ore.-- Coos Bay's newest employer is now open for business.

First Call Resolution officially opened for business with a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of its new building Wednesday night.

First Call Resolution is a call center that provides services to a variety of industries.

Mayor Chrystal Shoji says the call center is a good step for the city's economy.

"It helps the restaurants. It puts people on the streets," Shoji said. "It helps the retail businesses and it makes for a vibrant downtown."

Although they will open with about 30 employees, the company says they hope to employ 100 people by the end of the year.

The company also has locations in Roseburg and Grants Pass.
