Family expected plea deal, defendant recieved new attorney

COQUILLE, Ore.-- Families of two young girls allegedly abused by a Coos Bay man earlier this year say they expected the defendant in the case to get a plea deal yesterday morning.

Tracy Kelso was back in court in Coquille for what was scheduled as a change of plea hearing, but instead, the court was notified that there was an issue in the public defender's office and Kelso would be assigned a new attorney.

Familes tell KCBY they shwoed up to court to witness a plea deal, and they are upset that one was not offered yesterday.

Kelso is pleading not guilty to sexually abusing two young girls earlier this year, and he is due back in court next month.
