First Student hiring CB school bus drivers for fall
COOS BAY, Ore.-- First Student Charter Bus Company is looking to hire new school bus drivers for the coming school year.
First Student is a privately contracted bus company that operates all public school bussing for the Coos Bay School District.
The company says you can apply to be a bus driver even if you only have a regular driver's license.
"Come in with a Class C drivers license, and I will do the training with you one on one, and I'll test you with the DMV at the end of the period of training," Jean Cowan, First Student spokeswoman said.
First Student is a closed shop, however, and in addition to having a clean criminal record, applicants are required to be members of the United Food and Commerical Workers Union Local 555.
