Local Brothers invent casino game
NORTH BEND, Ore. -- Two Coos County brothers have been inventing for years. They even developed a poker game, called "Poker Dice I" that you can download on any mobile device.

Now, the brothers are looking for help with their next project.

David and Gregg McCall just launched their "Kickstarter" page for their new game, "Poker Dice II".

The site allows people to donate money to help them develop the game. They say as a small family-run business, they've put a lot of their own time and money into the project. Now, they just need a little push.

The McCalls have worked in casinos in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and now David deals table games at the Mill Casino. He says "Poker Dice II" is unique, substituting dice for cards.

"A lot of people are afraid of casino games, but not dice, and they like Yahtzee. My family were big Yahtzee players, so I combined the two and came up with the game and patented it," David said.

You will also be able to listen to your own iTunes music while playing this new version of the game.

Gregg says of his younger brother, "He's very creative. He's a smart guy. I don't like to tell him that because he's my younger brother, and when you tell your younger brother he's smart, it gets out of control sometimes, but it's been a lot of fun, it really has."

The McCalls hope that someday, they'll see their games in casinos, but they say their ultimate goal is much bigger. Gregg and David hope to inspire people to do the same.

"We want everybody to learn from our example. You can be just anybody. If you have an idea, go with it," David said.

The McCalls hope to get $85 thousand in 30 days. If they receive the funding, "Poker Dice II" will be on the market in about eight months on any mobile device or computer.
