NB man arrested for killing black bear

NORTH BEND, Ore.-- A North Bend man is in jail after Oregon State Police say he illegally killed a 200 pound black bear earlier this month and then dumped it on state property.
State Police began investigating claims that someone had illegally killed a black bear on rural property outside North Bend city limits on Wednesday morning.
According to OSP, a subsequent investigation led Harris to the property where evidence was found substantiating the tip.
On Wednesday night, Oregon State Polie arrested John Allen Gibson, 42, at his job in Coos Bay,
Gibson is being charged with Taking a Black Bear During Closed Season.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be pending.
