SWOCC wins gold
COOS BAY, Ore. -- It was a successful weekend for Southwestern Oregon Community College at the International Culinary Olympics.

SWOCC instructor Woojay Poynter won a gold medal in Germany on Saturday.

He presented his show platter and appetizer display. All of the seafood he used was brought from Oregon.

The team of students from the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute also won a gold medal in the hot food competition on Sunday. They compete again on Tuesday.
