Skywest Airlines: Flight reductions seasonal not permanent
NORTH BEND, Ore.-- Skywest Airline is not fully pulling out of the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend.

Airline spokeswoman Marissa Snow tells KCBY that the reduction in daily flights from three to two and then eventually down to one this winter is not a sign that the airline is performing poorly out of the airport.

"This is just a seasonal adjustment we make to adjust for the summer tourism season," Snow said. "I expect us to return to two flights a day in the spring and then back to three again in the summer depending on the economy and other factors."

It was around this time last year that Skywest eliminated its OTH to Portland International Airport (PDX) route.

Snow said the airline plans to keep service between OTH and San Fransisco International Airport as a regular part of its schedule.
