Coos Bay- There's nothing like a good old-fashioned ghost hunt to stir things up on Halloween, and the Ghosties team has plenty to investigate in the coming months.

Last year, the Ghosties team investigated the haunting of 20 different places in the area, and believes over half of them are housing some kind of spirit or ghost.

They've recently been trained in UFO investigations, which they say are much more technical than ghost hunts.

Ghosties team member Dana Hopkins says, "Both parts are paranormal and they relate to each other, because they're not a normal scientific thing."

This Halloween, they're allowing the public to be a part of a ghost hunt at the Eygptian Theatre, which they believe is very haunted.

The Ghosties team will demonstrate how all their equipment works and will even provide evidence of the paranormal.

Ghosties member Ann Fillmore says, "The Egyptian is haunted and this is what's going to make the ghost hunt even more interesting because of the renovations going on. That always stirs up what's there."

Hopkins adds, "What we have is documented and that's the main thing is to document what you have and prove what you have, not just say it's haunted and this is how it is, because you have to have proof."

The Halloween event at the Egyptian featuring a movie and a ghost hunt starts at 8 p.m.
