Snow forecast for Coast Range

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The National Weather Service says snow is expected in the Coast Range this weekend.

Its snow advisory is in effect from midnight Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday and includes Vernonia, Jewell, Grande Ronde, Tidewater and Swisshome.

Two to 4 inches of snow is expected at elevations above 1,000 feet Friday, and 1 to 3 inches more are possible Saturday.

Authorities say drivers should be prepared for snow to cover roads and be cautious.
