COOS BAY - Coos Bay residents got quite a sight Friday night after a house catches fire near Marshfield High School.

Around 10 p.m., Coos Bay Fire responded to a house on fire at 950 S. 8th Street.

Upon arrival, they found it fully engulfed in flames and were able to get it under control within a half hour.

Three engines, a rescue utility vehicle and a command rig with 25 personnel from Coos Bay Fire all responded, along with Bay Cities Ambulance.

Officials say, a firefighter did suffer a minor injury due to a slip and fall.

Luckily, no one was home at the time. They are calling it a total loss, with the cause of the fire still under investigation.
