Officials urge voters to remember to sign
By Tim Novotny
COQUILLE - The Primary election is now just a few days away, and there are some very important things that elections officials are asking voters to remember.
First, even though these are mail-in ballots, there is a deadline to vote via mail and that is Friday, May 16th. Friday is the last day you can be assured that your mailed ballot would arrive in time for the Tuesday election. Ballots can still be dropped off at area drop-box locations until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The other reminder is just as important, as Coos County Clerk Terri Turi says they have been seeing ballots come in without a signature on the envelope. They have to send those back for the signature and time is getting short, so they ask that you make sure you are signing your ballots. |
