California murder suspect captured in Oregon
By KVAL Web StaffCOOS BAY, Ore. - U.S. Marshals located a California fugitive wanted for murder and arrested him in this Oregon coastal community, where the man had assumed a new identity. Authorities arrested Inocente Secundino Jr., 24, at a Coos Bay apartment complex May 20. The man went by the name Javier Roman-Osorio in Coos Bay. Secundino was wanted by the Santa Ana Police Department in connection with the July 17, 2006, slaying of Steven Christopher Arreguin in Santa Ana, Calif. Police there say a verbal argument between the two escalated and ended with the shooting death of Arreguin. An arrest warrant was issued for Secundino, who remained at large and on the police department's most wanted list until May 20, 2008. Secundino was located after the Santa Ana Police Department's Gang Homicide Unit and the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force developed information that me might be hiding out in Oregon. Secundino is being held in Coos Bay on $1 million bail. |
