The North Bend School District is bringing hot lunches to more than 25 sites in North Bend, Reedsport, Myrtle Point and Coquille. And if you're under 18, it's free.

The summer lunch program received a three year, $200,000 grant for new hot and cold, food safe trucks.

Mother of two Tami Timm says it's nice not having to cook everyday and it's at a park so she's able to have a picnic with her girls.

The program hires teenagers that have just graduated high school to drive the trucks and deliver the food to kids.

At Airport Heights Park food service director Rhonda Hoffine says the current economy has really boosted participation. She says they are giving more than 150 lunches than they were last summer.
