COOS BAY, Ore. (AP) -- SkyWest Airlines says it will provide flights between Coos Bay-North Bend and Portland when Horizon Air ends service October 11.

Airport officials met Wednesday with SkyWest's marketing director to put together a one-year agreement.

It provides for two round trips a day for now, leaving North Bend at about 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. and returning from Portland at about 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. SkyWest plans to use 30-seat Embraer Brasilia EMB-120 aircraft.

The airport district will need to raise $713,136 as a revenue guarantee for SkyWest.

Klamath Falls, which also is scheduled to lose Horizon Air service, also has a deal with SkyWest.
