Coos County Democrats get to know their candidates
By Kristina NelsonNORTH BEND - Rallying their support behind local and national candidates, the Coos County Democrats host a special "Candidates Night Out" event at the Pony Village Mall. MultimediaState Senator Joanne Verger and State Representative Arnie Roblan as well as State Rep candidate Rick Goche and State Senate candidate Eldon Rollins came out to the event Saturday night. The Coos County Democrats, who recently set up their headquarters in the mall, worked closely with mall owners Paul and Kathleen Rudder, to help put on the event. "I walked into their office to introduce myself and they were telling me all about this. I thought, wow, this is great, and knowing me, I had to be a part of it," says Kathleen Rudder. During the night, Verger, Roblan and others spoke and Democrats were also able to get to know one another. The Coos County Democrats headquarters are located in the mall, across from Ross.
