NORTH BEND - Showing support for our troops overseas, Inland Point Assisted Living in North Bend holds a series of events all this week, all for the men and women in uniform.

The second annual, "Storm for our Troops" campaign kicked off on Sunday with a car wash and is running all week long, with different activities including letter writing to the troops, and a silent auction to raise money for care packages.

Executive Director Elizabeth Moss, says last year, they were able to send out close to 250 care packages for troops.

Moss says the event is not only a great way for residents at Inland Point and the community to get involved in something important, but many local troops benefit from the event as well.

"We have been gathering addresses from staff, family, friends. I anyone has a care package they would like sent, they can contact us," says Moss.

For more information on the "Storm for our Troops" campaign or to get involved call Inland Point at 756-0176.
