NORTH BEND, Ore. - It's that time of year again, October marks the beginning of flu season which means it's time to get your flu shot.

And the Coos County Public Health Department is here to help.

They'll be holding a series of flu shot clinics throughout the month of October for folks wishing to get their shot.

Health Department Immunization and Communicable Disease Coordinator Lena Hawtin says everyone should consider getting one.

"Even though you and I are healthy, it's still a good idea to get one so we don't pass the virus on to someone else," says Hawtin.

The first clinic will be held Tuesday, October 14th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the North Bend Community Center.

There will also be one the following Tuesday, October 21st in Lakeside and Tuesday, October 28th in Coos Bay.

For more information or if you can't make one of the clinics but would still like a shot, call 756-2020 ext. 510.
