NORTH BEND, Ore. - Things continue to look grim on the unemployment front as the Mill Casino-Hotel lays off more than 35 people this week.

Rhonda Stoddard and Linda Fry like many other employees showed up to work Tuesday only to find out they were being laid off.

Communications Director at the Mill Ray Doering says they've had more visitors than ever but with watching their budgets.

He says the economic pressures are just too high so the Mill had to cut 37 positions.

The Mill completely eliminated the game Keno and let a great deal of people from the table games go.

They say this is something they didn't want to have to do.

The Mill hopes they won't have to lay off any more people, but only time will tell.
