NORTH BEND, Ore. - After two and a half years, phase one of the North Bend Pool restoration project is complete, and now the Save Our Pool Committee is setting their sights on phase two.

Renovated locker rooms, new plumbing and a new paint job are just some of the new perks at the North Bend Pool.

And while the Save Our Pool Committee, pool staff and patrons are excited about the recent improvements, there is still more work to be done.

"Phase two we have broken into two parts. The first part will include remodeling the lobby, entrance way, office and employee changing rooms," says Aquatics Director Chris Richmond.

Te first part of phase two is going to cost an estimated $250,000 which Richmond says they've already raised.

An architect is currently drawing up plans for the next phase of work, and after that, they will go out to bid and hope to start the ball rolling by next summer.

The Save Our Pool Committee will be holding a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, October 11th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Umpqua Bank in North Bend to raise money.
