Body of man swept off jetty located

NEWPORT, Ore. (AP) - The body of a man who died when swept off a jetty on the Oregon coast has been found.

The Newport Police Department says the body was found Wednesday on the beach at Lost Creek State Park.

Officials confirmed the body was that of 23-year-old Arnold Dewayne Halstad Jr. of Tigard.

Halstad went missing Sunday during a storm. He had been swept off the South Beach Jetty by a wave.
