BANDON, Ore. - Lending their musical expertise to area students, a world renowned band holds a clinic and concert in Bandon on Friday.

Making their first trip to Bandon, the Dallas Brass Band delighted the crowd at the Sprague Theater with a live performance.

The six member brass group, who first formed in the early '80s, travel around the nation and the world 106 days a year performing for crowds young and old.

They also, have another focus and that's the youth.

"The part that's unique to Dallas Brass is we like to work with the students. Almost every concert we play, we work with them during the day with a clinic," says band member Brian Neal.

On Friday, students from Bandon and Gold Beach High Schools, got the opportunity to learn from them and also performed a song at the concert later in the evening.
