NORTH BEND, Ore. - Over at the Coos County Republican Headquarters, things were just as busy as the Democrats, as supporters of John McCain and other local candidates came out to watch the night's events unfold on T.V.

Around 30 folks gathered at the headquarters located just down the walkway from the Democrats inside the Pony Village Mall.

Spirits were high throughout the evening, as Republican supporters followed the presidential race and local races closely.

Republican candidate for District Nine State Representative, Al Pearn, who ran against incumbent State Representative Arnie Roblan, also attended the festivities.

"This night is really an opportunity to thank all of the supporters and volunteers and all their hard work," says Pearn.

The night did not turn out as these Republican voters would have hoped, with Democratic Senator Barack Obama winning the Presidential Election.
