NORTH BEND, Ore. - Kingsview Christian School has one more reason to celebrate this holiday season, after a project over 30 years in the making is finally complete and ready to be used by students and the community.

Students, staff and the church congregation gathered on Sunday to dedicate the newest addition to the Kingsview Campus, a new gym, one and a half acre ball field and 6,000 square feet of classroom space.

The project idea was developed over 30 years ago by Ken Snoddy, Senior.

But it wasn't until seven years ago the project actually took shape.

Prior to this building, students used a gym one third it's size connected to the original school building.

Bay Area Church of the Nazarene Senior Pastor Ron Halvorson, says the facility will be open to students and the community.

They are also planning on having family skate nights for the whole community.

The project cost roughly $350,000 total, thanks largely in part to donated materials and labor.
