NORTH BEND, Ore. - Free summer lunch programs have started up this week around Coos County, providing meals for kids and adults.

All summer long, the North Bend School District is providing nutritious lunches to area children and adults through their "Free Summer Lunch Program."

Trucks travel to many locations in North Bend, Reedsport, Coquille, and Myrle Point Monday through Friday, providing hot and cold lunches.

Kids 18 and under can stop by the truck at a designated site, and pick up a lunch for free.

Adults 19 and older can also get a lunch for just two dollars.

For a complete list of free lunch sites, call 756-8305 or log onto www.nbend.k12.or.us, click on departments and then food services.

Coos Bay School District is also hosting their free summer lunches at Blossom Gulch and Madison schools, from 11:15 until 12 p.m.

It's free for kids ages two to 18.
