REEDSPORT, Ore. - Issues surrounding health care were top of mind for people attending Senator Ron Wyden's town hall meeting in Reedsport on Saturday.

After making a stop in Coos Bay on Friday, the Senator held his third of four town hall's in the area at Pacific Auditorium at Reedsport High School.

During the meeting, Wyden touched on the three health care proposals currently being looked at by Congress, including his proposed plan, The Healthy Americans Act.

The health care proposal is one he developed with other senators and is modeled after the health care plan that members of Congress receive.

"People understand that members of Congress can't pass a set of rules for everybody else and have them different for themselves. There's a group of people that aren't complaining about their health care benefits and that's members of Congress," says Wyden.

But folks at the town hall, still voiced their concerns over the other proposed plans including President Obama's.

"He's talking cutbacks, he's talking about unnecessary testing. Well, his unnecessary testing, if it were around 12 years ago, I'd been dead. It may help a lot of people with colds or small things, but it's not going to help people that need immediate help," says one concerned citizen.

Wyden rounded out his South Coast town hall tour with a stop in Florence later in the day on Saturday.
