LANGLOIS, Ore. - The clean-up effort in underway at Pacific High School in Langlois, just two weeks after vandals stole items and set fire to a portion of the building.

"Initially it was just surreal, it didn't sink in for quite a while," says Principal Tony Jones.

The main damage occurred in the wood-shop and computer lab.

According to Jones, laptops and other items were stolen, but it could have been worse.

"Fortunately there was minimal structural damage. Our fire suppression system worked well."

District Superintendent Mick Lane says the damage is well over $100,000.

The school has been working with the Curry County Sheriff's Department to determine who committed the crime.

"They're in investigative mode, we have no solid leads yet but they are very active, it is a priority with the department," says Lane.

And now a reward has been set up for anyone with information leading to the conviction of the perpetrators.

Community businesses, school district officials and staff have donated money towards a reward, which is now over $6,000.

Lane says they should have both rooms restored and ready for use by Tuesday.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Curry County Crime-stoppers at 888-974-0000 or the Curry County Sheriff's Office at 800-543-8471.
