Police looking for information on North Bend burglaries
By Nicole Plascencia KCBY NewsNORTH BEND, Ore.- North Bend Police responded to Edward Jones on Broadway in North Bend Monday, November 23rd after an employee noticed an open window at Edward Jones and broken glass at Bay Area Copier Co. next door. When police arrived they found, in addition to those 2 businesses, the North Bend Community Center and Willoughby Hearing Aid Center had been burglarized. Also, police say Willoughby's was set on fire but the fire was put out before firefighters arrived. "We've been in this new office about a week and a half, new carpet and everything so yeah, we were kinda devastated," says hearing aid consultant Louis Christensen. While the fire at Willoughby's was put out before the fire department arrived there was a lot of smoke damage inside. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and so are employees, "My message would really be for the community at large to come forth if you have any information, if you notice anyone who all of a sudden has things that didn't belong to them a few days ago, maybe question where those things came from," says Service Manager at Bay Area Copier Co. Arnold Hill. No information is being released as to what was taken. If you have any information you can give North Bend Police a call at 756-3161 or Coos Stop Crime at 267-6666.
