NORTH BEND, Ore.- Santa Claus is quite the traveler, just last month he cruised into Coos Bay on a boat and this past weekend Santa stopped by the Coast Guard Air Station in North Bend, making his way by helicopter.

Coasties were busy cooking up pancakes Saturday morning as their youngsters anxiously awaited the arrival of Santa Claus. And a grand entrance it was as the big guy came down from the sky in true Coast Guard fashion.

Youngsters KCBY spoke with already had their lists ready for Santa Claus, everything from dolls to toy motorcycles and even a wish from a young girl to see her family that lives in Texas.

All the kids got a chance to tell Saint Nick just what they have on their lists and snap a photo to remember.
