COQUILLE, Ore.- An independent researcher, Steven Myers has spent the past 10 years researching ancient technologies and earlier this year in January he published a book called "Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid."

In his book Myers maintains theories that the Great Pyramid was not built by ramps as he says most theories claim.

"I believe that the Great Pyramid was built using water locks, similar to the Panama or Eerie Canal and these water locks allowed stones on barges to go all the way up to the building site and also to help construct the pyramid, level by level," says Myers.

Myers grew up in Coquille and graduated from Coquille High School in 1974. He wants to pass the message to students that all sciences are just scratching the surface and there's always more to learn and new ideas and technologies being developed.

"Our research feels that ancient technologies can help our modern but troubled world, we feel that the purpose of the Great Pyramid was that it was a water pump, that it was infrastructure for the civilization that built it," says Myers.

Myers has a website with more information at www.thepump.org.
