HAUSER, Ore.- The parents of kids in the Bay Area Christian Home School Co-Op are creating their own boot camp.

A few parents participated in KCBY's initial boot camp, now their extending the idea into their co-op hoping to motivate each other to lose weight.

"The group setting has really helped and I noticed with the KCBY boot camp, the top four winners were Paula Holmes and her friend, who were accountable to each other and then my husband and I who were accountable to each other, so it really helps to have a partner or a group to help you," says Kristen DeAndrea.

The kids are also participating in their own form of boot camp but DeAndrea says they're not encouraging the youngsters to lose weight but to exercise, be healthy and make good choices.

"We're doing 12 weeks of them exercising and they have a journal and they keep track. Their goal is to get 5 hours of exercise a week and if they do that then they get tickets to put into a drawing for lots of fun prizes," says DeAndrea.
