NORTH BEND, Ore. - Looking to draw in hundreds of people from all over the state and nation, a one-day auction held in North Bend this Wednesday, is hoping to bring in big bucks for cash-strapped companies, and provide some great exposure for the Bay Area.

Tractors, cranes, loaders and other heavy equipment will all be up for auction Wednesday during a one day event hosted by Cowboy Up Auctioneers.

Cowboy Up CEO Cole Davis, says most of this equipment comes from logging, mining and construction companies here locally and around the nation, who are looking to make some extra money in a tough economy.

"We know the economy is slow, and selling off one or two of these major machines, for certain companies, might help them make payroll," said Davis. "We're not into selling off companies, we're into helping people."

Davis says auctions like these are a great way for folks to find a bargain, they also help boost the economy of the local area.

"This has really given Coos Bay and North Bend a lot of exposure. a lot of people want to some here and we've given them a good reason to be here. I know some of our clients have booked an extra extended stay to enjoy the area."

Between 600 and 1,000 people are expected to attend the one-day auction.

It begins at 9 am Wednesday and is open to the public.

It's held next to the Mill Casino-Hotel RV Park.
