'We love you Kyron. We are all coming to get you'
Desiree Young By KVAL.com staffPORTLAND, Ore. - Kyron Horman, the boy at the center of the "largest search effort in Oregon's history," remains a priority for law enforcment, the lead agency said at a press conference Tuesday. "We believe Kyron's disappearance involves criminal behavior because his parents have been deprived of their son for 53 days," said Monte Reiser with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, who called it the "largest search effort in Oregon's history." He said 500 searchers from 18 counties and several other agencies from other states have taken part in the search. So far, the Multnomah Sheriff's office alone has put 11,000 hours into the search. The county recently approved additional funding for the sheriff's office to continue the search. "We feel the investigation continues to be on track and is progressing toward finding Kyron," said Desiree Young, Kyron's mother. "Our goals are to expedite the search for Kyron, to bring him home as soon as possible, and to bring justice to any person responsible for his disappearance. "We love you Kyron," she said. "Never give up hope. We are all coming to get you, to bring you home," Reiser said the sheriff's office had generated 3,500 leads from thousands of tips. As tips come in, they are reviewed by an experienced detective who assigns them for followup, he said. All tips and recorded and tracked. No one who spoke at the press conference took questions from reporters. Most Popular
