Local store opens second location inside airport
By Kristina Nelson, KCBY NewsNORTH BEND, Ore. - A popular South Coast store and tourist attraction has expanded it's business in the Bay Area, opening up a second location that they hope will draw in more customers. Last week the Oregon Connection/House of Myrtlewood opened it's new store located inside the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport, featuring many of the same products as their main store in Coos Bay. "We actually have a little sample of everything we have over at our store. We also have expanded our clothing line here because that seems to be really popular," says Assistant Manager Stacy Dewater. "We've also brought in some book like Sudoku and some crossword puzzles for the flights." Dewater says their new location is attracting new customers that may not have known about their store otherwise. "We've actually got a lot of sales, we had two sales before we were open and that was really exciting. A lot of people that come in here will stop in at our store and we let every customer know that this is just a small amount of what we have, we have a really large gift shop right across town." The Oregon Connection/House of Myrtlewood is a subsidiary of the Star of Hope, which assists local adults with developmental disabilities. Proceeds from sales go to support Star of Hope. The new airport store is open from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 12 to 5 p.m. Most Popular
