Sheriff: Marty Condon dead from gunshot wound
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- The Sheriff's office confirmed Friday morning that Marty Condon died from a gunshot wound.
The 911 dispatch center received a call from Christine Condon late Thursday night, and stated that Martin Condon had shot himself.
Deputies responded and along with EMT's tried life-saving measures including CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, the investigation is continuing, and as of Friday morning, no charges have been filed.
The Douglas County Major Crimes Team spent all day Thursday conducting a death investigation at the home of the parents of the late Stephanie Condon.
The residence on Canyonville-Riddle Road west of Canyonville, was surrounded by crime scene tape and detectives were still at the scene into the evening.
Police were called to the home just after 11:15 Wednesday night.
Detectives from DCSO and Roseburg police arrived early Thursday morning.
