PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Gov. Ted Kulongoski says Oregon will go to federal court to fight a regulatory decision allowing a liquefied gas terminal along the Columbia River.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission refused Thursday to reconsider its approval of the Bradwood Landing terminal near Astoria.

Shortly after that, Kulongoski announced that the state would appeal the decision in the federal courts.

Kulongoski and other state officials say the project shouldn't receive approval until all environmental issues have been addressed and state permit decisions have been made.
